In the nicest possible way I don’t think I would want to see any of them again, it would just be a bit of a slight return^, I’ll remember them this way. I had a seriously good night courtesy of all three bands on the bill. Then we are all discharged into the wet West Yorkshire streets, most of us still singing ‘Loaded, loaded’. Highlights? ‘Electric Eye’ is immense, ‘Love Bites’ is all mean and moody and ‘Living After Midnight’ is a great pop send off to us all. I also like the way they don’t piss about stopping and starting with an encore, a brief breather and they’re off again. Staging? I love the cool trident lighting rig and the fact that the screens are used more subtly than most arena bands do, they don’t dominate. Scott Travis, slightly cheesy crowd banter aside, plays a blinder, his work on ‘Painkiller’ is just insanely good. Ian Hill does Ian Hill stuff at the back, stage left, moving about 4 paces all night, his bass is the loudest instrument in the arena. He is ably supported by Andy Sneap, who steps up to deliver his own greatness, at one glorious point he, Halford and Faulkner all sway together at the front of the stage in time-honoured fashion. Richie Faulkner is superb tonight, especially during ‘Victim Of Changes’ when he was jaw droppingly good. Just in case you were wondering what type of music he likes. Love that Halford’s jacket has ‘Heavy Metal’ written on the back. ![]() He spends every song walking the stage a little like a man who’s lost his dog, but he is a charming and humble presence up there. Halford is in fine voice throughout, although annoyingly he makes us sing every chorus of ‘Turbo Lover’ to him I prefer my vice versa. There are some great older choices in there too, ‘Green Manalishi’ was an unexpected treat. They mix up the oldies with the newies perfectly, the new stuff certainly passes muster in their set. Judas Priest are a consummate arena band, as you’d expect when they’ve been doing this for so well for so long. We all know the score when Rob calls out ‘Breaking the what?’ to us. Then we hit the straight with ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin” which is meaner and darker than I’ve heard it previously. So Judas Priest come out all guns blazing with Invincible Shield‘s opener Panic Attack and it’s a worthy choice, Rob Halford wearing a gold lame overcoat as he stalks the stage**. One of the moments of the whole night is when the PA plays ‘War Pigs’ at full arena volume while we are waiting for Priest to start and EVERYBODY bellows the words – the loudest non-rugby singalong I have ever been involved in. Saxon got exactly the great reception they deserved. The highlights of the set were ‘Dallas 1pm’*, ‘747 (Strangers In The Night)’ and the final two tracks that they bring on the retired Paul Quinn to guest on ‘Denim & Leather’ and ‘Princess Of The Night’. My uncle Ali was right, the original Saxon line-up was just an incredible unit I thought about him a lot last night. Their set is peppered with new tracks and they’re fine, but hearing the opening guitar line of ‘And The Bands Played On’ puts anything they have cut this century into stark relief. The band are great, including Brian Tatler these days and Biff is a fine, garrulous front man in great voice – half rabble rouser and half pantomime dame, looking trim and sporting a luxuriant mane. So with a certain amount of pomp and circumstance Saxon hit the stage with a new track and the energy is notably high, but it’s when the motorbike sound FX hit the PA heralding the onslaught of ‘Motorcycle Man’ that our energy spikes too. Two guys sat in front of me had first seen Judas Priest in 1975 and had the pictures to prove it! One of them had seen AC/DC four times, three times with Bon Scott and once one the Back In Black tour, but ‘I never liked the new singer much’. ![]() It is a thrill to see Mick Box strut his stuff too (who has only played with Heep since I was -3).Ĭhatting to my fellow metalheads before Saxon hit the stage was wonderful. I am a helpless sucker for that heavy organ sound, Bernie Shaw (who has only played with Heep since I was 15) is in great voice tonight on ‘Gypsy’ and inevitable closer ‘Easy Livin”. Uriah Heep are already playing when we get in, they’re surprisingly loud for first band on. My cheap tickets up in the (metal) gods are excellent, we are sat quite near to the spotlight operator who’s sole job later on in the evening is to keep Rob Halford in his beam for the whole set. Three bands I like but had never seen before and a wonderfully gentle, friendly metal crowd.įirst off, Leeds arena is an excellent venue, capacity 13k, really steep and tall, apparently designed so that the furthest anyone can be from the action is 68m. ![]() I really needed this on a wet March evening, a triple bill of gnarled road dogs, brawlers, shaggers and metal warriors.

I had this app pretty much since it began, purchased some cool things and coins but lately have been getting banned for the dumbest reasons the same way I’ve been playing for years. It just made me disappointed to see that the best feature for me now got taken away! Boo for you! Three consecutive wins was perfect! 5 straight wins with medium-high connectivity issues is kinda messed up! Show more ![]() Sometimes you go through DAYS of the worst dealt hands by the game and we have zero control. ![]() There are some talented spades players on this app which is great for someone like me but come on, FIVE wins in a row for a player regardless of their skill level is a bit much to ask for. I just think the game now went and made it less likely for me to keep playing the knock out challenges. I won't lie that when your on your 3rd game and u get the option to pay for another chance that I haven't been tempted once or twice and $1-$3 wasn't a big issue for me BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN you have to win 5 games in a row! I mean come on! Did u notice u we're getting us with the scenario I just mentioned and u decided to take advantage. I have been really loving the KnockOut Challenge where u have to win 3 games in row to double your bet amount and that was challenging enough. The app is definitely superior to the other ones I've tried except lately I keep getting thrown out of an active game when my next move is either critical and/or it's my last game$$ to play which can really be infuriating. then that no longer becomes skill or even luck. while the person next to me keeps getting 7,6,8, 4, 5 draws and to then give me one card like ace of spades where I can’t even counter with a nil to compete or catch up. but when I play 16 consecutive games with the same hands. This is why I don’t rate apps earlier on. Again, this is a top app, very good and amazing variety of games when I kept seeing this trend I had to speak out. It’s so set up and predetermined sometimes that you can’t even call it random. I don’t know if it’s their Algo or what but I have observed it consistently. The scam is that they know you will buy more tokens to play. ![]() you will start to realize that your hands become very bland. It didn’t happen earlier on but when they see a pattern formed where you keep buying when you run out of coins. I thought it was coincidence, but I realized I keep getting horrible draws when I pay money. and Ofcourse they will give you an Ace of spades to make a nil impossible. When I pay □ I often get many many consecutive hands with almost zero books. and love the game to the point where I’ll pay if I need extra coins. So for me, enabling Hardware as the deinterlace mode on Apple TV 4K seems to have worked for stopping buffering. What is the difference between IPTV and M3U? What devices are you using Channels on that setting to 60fps worked for? Change back to linear and it’s starts playing consistent thanks for the tip - I have been getting the same issue recently (also had the same issue in Plex with the same channels) - today I started to pull in a testing m3u with a small subset of my m3u channels to try to work out where my issue lies (I normally run the m3u into xTeve and then over to Channels/Plex) but this post gives me hope to get the ATV working properly without a shed load of playing around and rebuilding! I havent noticed buffering on FireCube or iphone/ipad but I dont really use those devices as much as I do the ATV so just thought it wasnt being used enough to manifest.ĭOH! Just checked the ATV and it is set to Linear already The key point to me that this has fixed it is that it is reproducible! If i change back to hardware deinterlacing it starts dropping and buffering again. I can’t confirm 100% it is fixed, but i made it my goal to figure out this issue today and after messing with it for a few hours this change has immediately made the difference. I changed the setting to linear and in the past 10min have not had it drop ones and my connections went from hardly being able to have a 1-2mb buffer to over 10. The TV i have been having issues with had the Deinterlacing Mode under Settings > Playback > Advanced set to Hardware, while the tv that was working was set to linear (60fps). This made me scratch my head and proceed to see if there was anything at all different with the two setups. ![]() I realized he was actually watching one of the channels i had singled out as a test channel since i was consistently having issues with it. As i was still mulling over what the heck was happening, i realized my son had been in the other room watching a few iptv channels for awhile without buffering. |
